Reception New-Intake Tours

We will be holding new-intake tours for children who will be starting Reception in September 2024. These tours will take place at 5:30pm on:

Tuesday, 17th October
Thursday, 9th November
Wednesday, 22nd November
Thursday, 7th December
Tuesday, 9th January at 4.30pm

Welcome to Merrylands Primary School and Nursery

Here at Merrylands Primary School and Nursery, we believe passionately in the importance of recognising every pupil as a unique individual. We believe a happy child will be a successful child and work to ensure every child enjoys school and achieves. We do this by providing the best teaching and learning experiences that we can through an exciting and engaging curriculum.

As a school, we are always looking for new ways to improve and grow. Our staff, coupled with supportive parents and governors, contribute greatly to our school. We all work together with a common goal, to ensure that our children have a sense of worth and achieve their full potential in their learning to enhance their own life chances and aspirations in their primary years.

We are delighted to announce that the Federation of Canewdon Endowed (C of E) VC Primary School and St Nicholas (C of E) VC Primary School seek to join the Berlesduna Multi-Academy Trust. Both schools have applied to the Regional Schools Commissioner seeking agreement for a proposal for both schools to convert to academies within the Berlesduna Multi-Academy Trust. We will keep you updated on this exciting proposal and look forward to welcoming both schools in to our Berlesduna family.
