Homework
The aim of homework is to support the foundations of children's learning. Below is an outline of homework set across the school.
Homework for Early Years
Throughout the week, children are encouraged at home to read daily and practice their keywords. In addition to this, weekly phonics activities are set, which are linked with the learning that has taken place in school. Activities will be set on the following:
- Phonics practise on Tapestry
- Maths Seeds - online Maths task
Homework for pupils in Year 1 and 2
Children are encouraged to read daily at home with an adult and to practice their keywords. In addition to this, weekly phonics activities are set, which are linked with the learning that has taken place in school.
- Spelling activities - paper-based task
- Maths seeds - online Maths task
Homework for pupils in Year 3 and 4
Children are encouraged to read daily at home with an adult. In addition to this, the following activities will be set:
- Spelling activities - paper-based task
- Mathletics - online Maths task
- Times Tables Rock Stars
Homework for pupils in Year 5
Children are encouraged to read daily at home with an adult. In addition to this, the following activities will be set:
- Spelling activities - paper-based task
- Mathletics - online Maths task
- Times Tables Rock Stars
- From the Spring term, pupils in Year 5 will be introduced to CGP books in preparation for Year 6.
