The aim of homework is to support the foundations of children's learning.

All homework is set through our electronic communication platforms. 

Reception and Year 1 - Tapestry

Year 2 to 6 - Seesaw

All homework will be set on a Friday and expected to be completed and submitted by the following Wednesday. 

Homework for Reception

Throughout the week, children are encouraged at home to read daily and practice their keywords.  In addition to this, weekly phonics activities are set each Friday linked with the learning that has taken place in school. 

Homework for pupils in Year 1 to 5

Children are encouraged to read daily at home with an adult.  In addition to this, the following activities will be shared on Seesaw weekly: 

• times table activities based on the year group’s expectations
• reading comprehension style activity 

During the Summer term, pupils in Year 5 will be introduced to CGP books in preparation for Year 6.

Homework for pupils in Year 6

Children are encouraged to read daily at home with an adult.  In addition to this, at the start of the year, pupils will receive CGP books from which weekly homework will be set.
